Hi, I’m Jenna (or Mia)
I go by a few names in my life but Jenna and Mia are my absolute favourite as the people I love call me by those names. Whatever you call me, I’m glad you’re here.
My experience is built in getting ideas off the ground and pushing for positive, lasting change. I have over 17 years of experience in non-profit and social impact, marketing and communications, community building and engagement. I have been in the advocacy space for over a decade. I have worked primarily with small to medium businesses, entrepreneurs and advocacy organizations. In total, I have over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship, and small to medium-sized businesses, in many categories.
I didn’t realize then that I was also building over 25 years of experience in being a woman in all facets of business. Discrimination, unfair work practices, lack of benefits, glass ceilings, poor virtual team management (leaving the women on the team to pick up the emotional labour), maternity penalties, wage discrepancies and more - I’ve been through it or advocated for changing it.
And I've worked with many ambitious, woman-owned businesses helping them clarify their messages and goals, and set up strategies and systems that make their businesses better and avoid the pitfalls of capitalism, distance and patriarchy.
The common thread for me has always been feminism, community and technology.
I’m returning to my entrepreneurial roots to blend all of me into the work I can do in the world. Growing up, my parents were entrepreneurs. My first memories are from the back of their travelling nacho booth when they were in their late 20’s. My mom later bought a local automotive tool and supply shop, which she ran for 13 years with the help of my father – who would work in the shop while following his passion of performing as a magician and a Santa Claus every weekend.
I started my first business at 11, teaching kids to read. I was contracted as an elf, face painter and shopkeeper by my parents in my early teens. I managed a girl band at 16, and had my own all-woman, marketing and promotions company by 22. At 25, I founded a roller derby league with 15 other women. At 27, I became a Marketing and Social Media consultant specializing in small women-owned businesses. At 41, I started my foray into consulting and contract work.
I love to get in and get out on a project. You can count on me for ideation, strategy and execution, and the knowledge transfer you need so you can manage systems, technology and processes on your own. I’ll be around for any additional projects, and there is nothing I love more than leaving behind a legacy of documentation to support your growth and development.
My mission is to bring more money to women-identifying people through advocacy and to give changemakers more of what they need most - time.
Whether it's talking through the tech needs for your business and what’s available, developing engaging, powerful copy, or executing webinars to sell your packages, you can count on my knowledge, passion and deep understanding of women and women-identifying people to drive your success.
Working with me will bring you more independence, empowerment, time and money on the projects that are important to you.
If you’re in the ideation stage or have been trying already without seeing results, I can help. Book a 30-minute free consultation call with me now in one of my three focus areas and come prepared to tell me your pains and where you want to make gains:

Welcome. I look forward to connecting.

I facilitate the expansion of time and money for women's collective capital and personal growth in two ways:
Advocating for women and creating education on the issues facing women
&
Creatively building both time and money in feminist businesses so they can focus on transforming the status quo
“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
